Tlio Bay Lodg-e met on Tuesday evening, when A.D. Bro. W. fi. Kirkwood presided over a fair attendance of members. P.A. Bro. S. Fox. who is leaving for Perth, West Australia, was granted his clearance, and the members oxpressetl their fiinwro regret, at losing the services of a member so valuable, and a minute was recorded expressing regret at his departure and appreciation of the many valuable services rendered to the lodge, and wishing him G<xl-speed and every success in his new sphcTO. . It was also resolved that a copy of the miuute 1» engrossed and signed by the. officers, and presented to Bro. Fox. Tho G.L. representative gav© an account of the business transacted at the G.L. meeting held at Oamaru. which was listened to with interest. The lodge then adjourned at 8.30 p.m. to admit visitors to hear tho second of the lectures on lifesaving methods that arc being given in tho ledge room. Tho second lecture of the series on lifesaving methods was given in the Bay Lodgo on Tuesday evening, and again there was a good attendance of members and visitors. Tho Anderson's Bay Crioket Club and Bov Scouts were well represented. Tho lecturer (Bro. Fox) pivc a very interesting hour in tho various methods of •rescue and release, and those present, showed their.keenness bv practising them with much precision. Bro. Fox expressed his appreciation of tlio close attention those present had given to the lectures, and expressed his regret at having to discontinue owing to his departure from Duncdin, but ho was pleased to say that ho was making arrangoments for tho other two lecturer, so that, those who had taken so keen an interest would not bo disaepointecL
