The Master of Elibank denies the statement of The Times that the House of Commons intends to : adjourn for a month, and also that of the liberals' reported efforts to find a basis of compromise in regard to the Veto Bill.

It is officially announced that Lord Seely becomes Under-secretary for War and Lord Lucas Under-secretary for the Colonies.
A LICENSING BILL. LONDON, March 24. (Received March 24, at 9.15 p.m.)
In tho House of Commons Mr Asquith stated that a Licensing Bill on the lines of tho 1908 bill—an urgent measure— would be introduced, immediately after tie Parliament Bill was passed.
