The Board of Trade is consulting with the Colonial Office and the Post Office authorities concerning shipping combines, with a view to Mr Botha's resolution at the Imperial Conference. The board has also prepared memoranda for tho conference concerning Mr Fisher's and Sir J. G. Ward's resolutions re the mercantile marine.
