LONDON, March 23.

Mr Mackennal, tho sculptor, proposes to place a 14ft statue of King Edward below the figure of Peace, with a processional group delineating the arts of peace, and a .similar group around the figure of Britannia, on the St. James's Park sido of the memorial. The whole wotlc is to lie 50ft high. Ho aleo suggests that there be a flight of steps connecting the memorial with the widened avenue and bridge over the lake in the park. The bridge will bo dosigned by Mr Edwin Lutyens, and it is calculated that the whole work will ba completed in five years.
