TWO LIEN SENTENCED TO DEATH.

John Farrington and Peter Tynan have been sentenced to death for the murder of William Tynan, brother oi Peter Tynan,
A murder tmgedy at Dumblcton, about eight miles away from Mackay, was reported to the police on November 27. The police proceeded tlioro aad fount! the body of a fanner, William I'vnan, on the Ucor of tho front room of hie house, dreadfully hackod about. He is said to have been attacked during a quarrel with a cane knife. Mrs Tynan, who went to her husband's assistance, rcooived severe cuts on the arms and shoulders. It is also alleged that tho murdered man was further slashed while on tho floor. A whip, with which Tynan is said to have defended himself, was found by the police clenbhod in his hand. Mrs Tynan fled, and was pursued. She ea'apcd_ to a neighbour's house with five 6mall children. A cano knife was found in tho bush. Tho police arrested tho murdered man's brother, Peter, as well as a man named Farrington.
