Brown (chairman) said the reports - from members v' canvassing the district were, most favour- ' able. In some sections not a refusal had ' been received. Mr B. 'F. Eennard re- S ported that he had covered his district and the residents wero verv keen t6 secure the return of their late /Mfiyor ,as chief ' magistrate of the city. Mr P. Roberta, v.' .idr H.
