Tho following is the value of the principal items of export from New Zealand for the half month ended March 15:— Butter, £100,988; cheese, £126,220; beef, frozen, £31,957; mutton, frozen, careases, £118,880; mutton, frozen legs and pieces, £5117; lamb, frozen, £199,320, wheat, £3881; oats £908; potatoes, £170; hemp, £7132; tow, £1709; Kauri gum, £21,523; grain and pulse (other than wheat and oats), £5365; hops, £65; hides,' £7569; skins, £37,841; tallow, £41,745; timber, £12,128; wool, £450,146; gold, £130,543. Tho total for the half month was £1,333,216, compared with £1,697,843 for the corresponding period last year.
