Tho Acting Prime Minister (Hon. Jp..s. Carroll), who has been on a visit toParihaka since Saturday, arrived here about midday, and received deputations on various local matters. During the afternoon he visited the petroleum woiks at Mobroa, and saw the blow-out in piogrcsa at No. 3 bore, the oil flowing at No. 2 bore, and the drilling at No. 5, and also witnessed an exhibition of ths uee of the oil a.nd the natural gas from the bor.in the furnaces. Mr Carrdll seem: f> greatly impressed.
