Sir Henry May, tho new Governor of Fiji, and Lady May arrived from Hongkong tenday.
On being interviewed, Sir Henry May said there was a big movement in China in the direction of introducing reforms and Western ideas, but China ra held back by deep-rooted prejudices, and was averse to the acceptance of foreign aid. Military organisation had been quiet in China since the Chinese-Japanese war.
