BOY SCOUTS.
THE CHRISTCHURCH ENCAMPMENT. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 4. Tho Boy Scouts' camp of instruction commenced at Wainoni Park to-day, and will be continued till Monday next. About 200 boya from almost every part of the South Island are *n camp, and it is expected when all have arrived that tho total will be close upon 400. The camp is under District SccKitmaeter Goodman, and Dominion Chief Scout C'ossgrove is also in camp. fFnou Our Own Coiirkspondknt.l CimiSTCHURCII, January 4. Addressing tho boys to-day, Lieut, colonel Cossgrove urged them to take the greatest care possible of all property in the Wainoni Park. " Boy Scouts should need no warning," he said, " and I nut you on your honour not to do any damage. It is part of your duty to look alter the ground which you are privileged to use. livery patrol will bo in charge of a scoutmaster, who will be responsible for the good behaviour of that patrol. You will be required to salute any officer only the first time you meet him every day. Any hoy wishing to have leave must ask for it, and on no account is anyone allowed to leave Wainoni grounds without per-
mission."
