Dr Macnamaia, spea'Sing at Whitefield Tabernacle, compared last year with 1909, and said that owing to the efiorts of the old-ago pensions and better trado there were 15,000 fewer paupers in England than there were previously. There were 2140 fewer in London at Christmas.
