Mr Fisher describes the statement made by the Daily Chronicle that while in South Africa he was' studiously ignored by the Boers as absolutely unwarrantable. On the contrary, he says he was met with courtesy, friendliness, and enthusiasm. The statement must, have arisen from a mreconceptio*.
