APPEAL FOR EMIGRANTS. P«M Aesooiation-Bj- Telegraph-Copjrigln. LONDON, August 20. The Hon. Mr 'M'Kenzio (Victoria) addressed an influential gathering of business men at the London Chamber of Commerce. He detailed Victoria's resources, and the desirability of British oimgrante settling there. The irrigation famis that were ready for occupancy ■were both healthy and enjoyable, and also the plades to make money. _Sir W. Taverner (Agent-general for \ ictoria) is receiving from 50 to 60 applications from eligible emigrants weekly.
