MEETINGS.
The fortnightly meeting of the Hope of tho Valley Juvenile Tent was held in the Young Men's Institute, North-East Valley. There was a largo attendance of members. C.R. Bro. W. Dowie occupied tho chair. One candidate was proposed. After the usual business an air-gun shooting competition took-place, and proved very interesting. Bro. T. Miller being first. The usuaJ fortnightly meeting of the Sobriety Tent was held on Monday last. There was a fair attendance of members. C.R. Bto. Kirkwcod occupied' the chair. After tho usual business was over orangeracing was engaged in. Bro. Allen then gave 60inc selections on his phonograph. The evening wound up with a shooting competition:
Tho weekly meeting of Pioneer of Dunedin Loci go was held on Tuesday evening, Bro. L. I'Maefarkne, Chief Templar, presiding. There was a largo attendance of members and visitors. Correspondence was read' and, discussed. Reports wero received from special committees. The item on the programme was social night, and took the form of parlour games, with songs and musical items interspersed, the following contributing:—Songs, Sisters L. Scott. Robertson, and Dunn, and Bros. W. Scott and Hallins. Sister N. Scott acted as accompanist during the evening. 'Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to all the visitors and the sisters for providing such a pleasant evening.
