Tho" chairman and the Rev. Mr Chodowfeiri disagreed with tho proposal in the bill thjit inspectors should wear uniforms, The latter delegate held that inspectors should 'riot, bo -recognisable. Tho Chairman th'ouglit the bill would' have a better chanco of if a. member of the 'Cabinet could bo induced to take chaste of it, On tho motion of tbe Rev. Mr Chodoweki it was resolved .tliat tho conference dp not discuss tho bill, but consider suggestions for better methods for preventing .cruelty, the result of such, to be submitted to' tho Govommont. It was decided! not to ask fyr a Government subsidy, but tho conference resolved to ask tlie Government to allocate to tho funds of tho local societies tho fines indicted in court for cruelty to animals.
