The following players are regarded as certain to bo included in the team:—G. A. Faulkner (Capo Colony), A. E. Vogler (Cape Colony), A. D. Nouree (Natal), S. J. Snooko (Capo Colony), J. \V. Zulohl (Transvaal), J. H. Sinclair (Transvaal), B. 0. Ssh\rara (Transvaal), T. Campbell(Transvaal), S. E; Peglor (Transvaal), M. Commaille (Transvaal). Most of the paljcrs named above arc among tho leadin-; cricketers of South Africa. W. A. Shaldors, L. J.' Tailored, G. C. White are, however, notable .players- whoso names do not. appear in tho list. .
Faulkner is one of ths best all-round men. in South Africa—and good, sound bataman and sueosssful " googly " bowler. During l the lost tour of the South Africans in England ho scored 1228 runs, with an average of 50.66, and to?k 73 wickets, at a cost of 15.52 runs each. Ho may captain the team.
Vogler i« another " gooply " bowler, and is regarded by some good English' judges as the best in the world. In England lash year ho took 133 wiokets, at a cost of 15.25 runs each. He breaks both ways, and) .has a most deceptive flight, while ho is able to conceal his intentions from tho Ho'is-'also a -Rcorl batemarr. •-
Nourso is a fine left-handed batsman, who can hit or stonewall as occasion demands. , He ccored 1320 runs in England with' tho last South Africair team, securing an average- of 29.53. ' Es- can also! bawl a geed "gecg;/ «'■ ball. -
Snooko is a stylish batsman, mho headed the South African averages in England with an average ot 31.3, and bowls a good fast ball.
Sinclair L? a hard hitter, whoso tattinxl is said to _ be reminiscent of Lyons wid Bonner, the Aw-tralians: a Rood bowler ot bowl a, go:d " gcogly" ball. Schwarz is one of the famous "poorly" bowlers of South Africa, and a fair'batsmarr. With the last South African team? in England ho had tho .groat record) of 143 wickets for 11.51 caoh. Ho has accomplished some sensational foats duirin-g tho last few wars.
Tho other players named are among tho younger generation of tho South African cricketers. They are all good batemcni who performed well the last Eng< lish team in South Africa.
