The Money Market Review says that the Australian Labour party's programme to burst up big estates has a particularly ugly sound in Great Britain, but, unlike Mr Lloyd-George's scheme, the Australian bill is intended not to strike a class, but to benefit the country. British investors will gain by the change if settlers are planted, and through the increased value of the remainder of their estates. The bill is an experimental one, .but it deserves success. . • DEBATE IN PARLIAMENT. TiDELBOUBNE, August 30.
