X, fJie Undersigned, DONALD CHARLES CAMERON, Junior, .Mayor of the Borough of St. Kilda, Hereby Give Notice that entile twenty-ninth day of August, 1910, a Proposal was submitted by the St. Kilda Borough Council to the Ratepayers of the Borough of St. Kilda, for raising a Special Loan of £9000 for the following' particular Purposes—that is to say: 1. Tho sum of £4350 for. Waterworks. 2. The sum of £3900 for the Formation of Roads and Footpaths. 3. The sum of £750 for Lighting. And that for (ho purnosc of sjcuring the repayment, of the said Special Loan and cf all interest which may from time to time becomo payable thorcunder, .the said Council proposes lo appropriate and pledge the I'rojKrty of the Borough of St. Kilda, and any revenues of tho aid Borough from any sourco other .than moneys received by way of grant from the- Government of New Zealand, and any funds and moneys of said Borough, subject lo a Special Loan of £2000, bearing interest at £4 10s per centum )>er annum (secured on the General Rates Of .tlw Borough), and also lo a Special Loan of £7000. bearing interest at £4 per centum per annum (secured on the wholo of ii Special Kato of sixpoiico in the pound sterling on tho rateable value of all Property.in the said Borough and on tho general'indebtedness of tho said Borough), ami also to «■ Loan of £5000, bearing interest at £4 per centum per annum' (secured on tho wholo of the Waterworks constructed being a first charge thereon, and also such Water Supply Kates as the' Council is empowered to make and levy-by virtue-of all powers the said Council thereunto enabling), and also' to a. Loan ot RWY). bearing interest at £4 10s per centum por annum, secured on the Property of the Borough of St. Kilda, and any Revenues of tho said Borough Irom any' sourco other than moneys received by way of grant from the Government of Now Zealand, and any funds and moneys of tho said Borough. And that tho said Council proposes to provide for tho creation of a Sinking Fund by die permanent appropriation of such a. sum as shall be equal to 1 per centum of the said Loan and by the permanent pledge of any part of tho Local Fund not prohibited by any provisions under The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," from being made security for such Lean. And that the wholo of tho Loan is to be Repayable on the First day of AUGUST, oi!3 thousand l nine hundred and thirty-one, in accordance with idebentures to be issued by tho Council in connection with the said Loan. And that it is proposed provide that any preliminary expense incurred in. connection with tho scheme for which the said Loan is lo be raised, and the first year's interest on the Loan during the construction of any Works .for which the said- Loan is to he raised,, shall bj paid out of the said Loan. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that tho following is the RESULT of the POLL on the' Proposal to Borrow tlw Sum of £9000 by way of Special Loan for the following purposes:— 1.
