LEVANTING DEBTORS
ACTION AT WELLINGTON. (Pee Uhimd Press Associates.) WELLINGTON, August 30. Instances of persons in an insolvent position departing from Wellington without facing their creditors have become so common of late that tradesmen- liavo decided to show that such practice will not be 'permitted to continue without somo opposition. The latest instance of sudden departure is that of Alfred Frank Hiegins grocer, of Wellington,, who was adjudicated a bankrupt in the Supremo Court on Monday. Bankrupt hod been traced to Hobart, To-day the receiver in Um estate (Mr A. Simpson. Official Asßyjnee), with the sanction of the creditors took out a warrant for (he arrest ?! P?'? 8, i constflbl ° will b » '««* to Hobart by Ihursday's steamer to bring the absconder back. His first meeting of creditors will be held on Friday.
