LANCASHIRE AND YORKSHIRE' SOCIETY.

The monthly meeting of the Lancashire | and Yorkshire Society was held in tho Trades Hall on Thursday evening. Mr Frye, president, in the'chair. There was a good attendance of members- and friends. The following contributed to the evenings entertainment:—Dialecjt reading, Mr F.rye, recitation, Miss Blaokie; baritone *o\n (Scotch airs), Mr Hall. Songs were also | given by Mrs Lowe, Mr "G. Blnckie (en- . coretl), Mr Dawe, and Mr Hall (oncoreil). : During the evening refreshments were • served by the ladiss. Mr G. Jackson, Mr C. Frye, and Miss Fry© provided the music for tho danoing; and Mr Jackson- rimda an offioient M.C.
