The . play was mainly a scramble in tho inud, and Iho drawn game that resulted was : really no indication of the relative nreritr, of tho teams. Otai<o' showed fair conibinai tion, and -Miss Fisher, theii centre forward, stood out as the lx>,;l individual player on the ground. Miss Brown scored ■ for Otago from a scramble in the circle, and than the Canterbury forward, swept down ; t,ho field, and Miss Alley scored from a nioo 'pas/ The sacond spell was characterised l by fast play and hard hitting, but, thcro ■ was no furthc.r score. This is the firct occasion on Which Otago have been beaten this season.
