FORBURY PARK TROTTING CLUB.
The following gentlemen have been nominated as office-bearers:—President, Mr W. J. Gore; vice-president, Mr G. Hodges: committee-Messrs T. Elliott, L. •Hazlctt and R. Rutherford.. As the number of candidates is equal to the number of offices to be filled, the foregoing gentlemen will bs declared duly elected at the annual meeting.

From there both clubs started a Sealed Handicap Kuee, the distance being close on eight miles. Messrs Marshall, Dreaver, and Downes, assisted by Mr T. G. Lane, acted as starters, and with the assistance of a liorso and trap were enabled to roach Waitati in time to receive and take the times ot members as they came in. B. L. Aitkeu a. A splendid opportunity. of seeing firstclass -hockey will be afforded the public to-morrow on the Caledonian Ground. The local team—tho pick of Dunedin's players—are practising hard, and aro in good-form, while the Southland ladies arc keen to -win.. .

At a meeting of the Auckland Centre of tho Now Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, "held to-day, it was decided, owing' to the New Zealand Association's refusal,to pass D. Wilson's walking record made at the last amateur championship meeting, to forward an appeal through the proper channels to the Australasian Council.
