SUPERME COURT SITTINGS.
(Pur United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 18. In tho Divorco Court to-day decrees nisi woro granted in tho following suits :— Kathleen Brown v. Uin-gi Brown, Maria Theresa Whorsfcey v. Patrick Whorskev, George Baker v. Elizabeth Baker; Josephine Rhodes v. George Edward Rhodes. WELLINGTON, August 18. At the Supreme Court to-day Catherine Moore, a middle-aged woman, was convicted on three charges of shop-lifting. Sentence was deferred till Saturday. In i tho ease of Thomas Joseph Lloyd, charged with burglary, the jury failed to agree. Dong Hon, a Chinese interpreter, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment for assault. CHRISTCHURCH, August 18. In tho Supremo Court to-day John Islicrwood was convicted of pcrjurv, and was fined £25. William Duncan Allen, a very old man, who had committed an indcoont assault, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment.
