(Received July 29; at 9.50 p.m.) The Board, of Control Jias informed the proprietors of the Sun that it cannot accept. their' offer of a. gifaraoitec in connection with the visit of a South African team. ■ •• \ ■ Previous to receiving: the boards. reply .the proprietors of . the ,Suh interviewed the secretary, and on the strength of a statement that , the board did not mind' who gave.the guarantee and that it would, be agreeable to receive the South African team, they cabled to Mr Abe Bailey and the -South African Cricket Council to the effect that the board woidd not give a guarantee, but that it had no objection to the Sun's guarantee, and would arrange a tour if the guarantee were accepted.
