CAPETOWN, July 27. Cape Colony defeated the British team at Rugby by 19 points to nil.
ALTERING THE RULES,
MAKING THE GAME FASTER.
BRISBANE-, July 28. The Rugby Union has adopted a chango in the laws of the game, tending to make the play faster. One alteration is that in the event of a player knocking on and catching the ball before' it lias touched tho ground the referee shall take no fiction. If these alterations are carried out Queensland will be deonrred from meeting tho other States, and will be greatly handicapped. AMATEURISM. INSISTED ON. SYDNEY, July 28.
