EXPORT OF ANIMALS.
GAZETTE NOTICE.

WELLINGTON, July 28. It is notified in to-night's Gazette that in the case' 1 of horses, dogs, or other animals intended for export from any New Zealand port to Australia, not less than 24 hours' notice of the intention to ship such animals must bo given at the office of the Department of Agriculture, .Commerce, and Tourists at the port of'shipment, also that such animals must -be held ready for examination by the department's veterinarian at a convenient place not less than four hours before the advertised time of the steamer's sailing. Unless these requirements are observed the department will not be responsiblefor the examination of and the granting of certificates for such animals as required ■by the Australian regulations..
