Subsequently tho insurgents ' seized another opportunity of annoying the Speaker. By a. coalition of the insurgont Republican,-! and the Democrats, tho vote for t.ho. Speaker's motorcar was rojeated. Mr Cannon, defied the insurgents to dsnofe him from the Speakership. Ho predicted that tjic Republicans Would ■ bo again ret,timed in the autuirai with full- control of tho Government.
