The weekly meeting of the Executive ol;,/, 1 the Otago Hockey Association was held on,' Tuesday night, Mr J. It. Hobbs in tho ohair.

A letter was received from this-Southland ■' Association asking if tiro date of the annual ~'•' match between Otago and Southland could be altered to August 31, as tho'.dato previously agreed ,to would clash with'-other.,-, ■■'. fixtures.—The .secretary was instructed to : ',' reply that Augnst 31 would be, a 6ititablo ',• date. ■■'•■', :(

The secretary of the Oamaru Club wrote 6tating that cither u Thursday or a Saturday would be suitable for their match against the Otago junior -representative team.—lt was decided that the match bo played on, August 20, and that a trial match bo played on August 13, after the junior fixtures for that day. AH matches oft the 13th to bo played at Forbury, the junior matches ; i to start at 2.30 ■p.m. so as to allow timo for ai ■trial match. '..•,•,-.

The question of postponing next Satur- ■/•;/; day's matches with a. view- of assisting the '/ J Ladies' Association in making their seven- '•!;.' a-sidc tournament a success was considored, , and it was decided that the matches ®t ' ■ down for that day be played, as tho majority •; of the players ihad purchased tickets fc/r.. V',; the ladies' tournament, and thoir absonce ,!'■ would not lessen tho financial returns.
