A Mrs Thompson, while 'suffering from dementia, took her three children foT a, walk, and on reaching a dam threw ono child into the water, after' attaching a, large stone to its dreas. The child managed to get out, but the mother seized another child, aged five, and held it under the water. The two others ran away, and when they, returned with assistance the dead 'bodies of the mother and child were found in the dam.
