ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(Pee United Piiess Association.; REEFTON, March 16. An old man named John Asmus. a pensioner, lias been drowned 'at Antonio's Flat. Mr S. Dunkley, of the firm of Spencer and Dunkley, met with an accident at the Victoria wharf yesterday while supervising the loading of some heavy "irders. The grip chains slipoing. Mr Dunkley was pinned against the timber waggon, being somewhat severely cut and bruised' Alter being attended to at the Hospital he was conveyed to his residence, to winch he will be confined for a day or two,
Percy Gibson, a single man; 29 years old, was thrown from a horse at Woodhaugli at 9 o'clock last evening, and was taken to the Hospital unconscious. Some of his friends saw (he horse bolt with its rider; and, following up, found Gibson ly„,g on the road. Inquiries made liite last night, tended to show that the victim of the accident was sufferui* from concussion of the brain. i
CHILD FATALLY INJURED. A child named Hazel E. Harrison, residing with her narenU ill Athol place, was playing with some other children in the locality on Tuesday evening, and in ~S after another girl she Collided ih a lamp post. Her bead struck the POSt, and She dropped to the ground. &he was earned home, and commenced to retch violently.
