MUSSELBURGH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

A congregation meeting and social evening to consider tho question ,of building a. church on tho site in the Queen's drive was .'held on Tuesday evening in the Masonip Hall. Moderator of tho church, tho Rev. D. Borne, presided, and was supported by the Rev. J. Chisholm and Mr W. S. Fitzgerald, representing the Presbytery. After praise and prayer, the business of tlio meeting was explained by the chairman, who then called upon Mr Sandilands, representing the Local..Committee, to state tho proposals already agreed'upon'. The plans prepared by Mr. Ariscombo consist of. a church.and.vestry, leav.ing^the.erection'of Sunday school and classroom until a' later date. '

After addresses by the Rev. Mr Chis>holm, a motion was carried approving of the proposal. An excellent programmo of •musical and other items was rendered .by tho Misses Barfch, Miss Dawe, Miss Darling, Rutherford, Miss Armstrong, and Miss Violet Bartli: After tea and cake had been served by the ladies, a series of limelight views of the Scottish Musselburgh was shown.
