Snvarkar, who was arrested in London on a. charge of sedition in India, was a member of Gray's Inn. aaid the correspondent for several Indian newspapers. He was remanded, bail being refused. CLOTHING CONFISCATED. CALCUTTA, Mareli 14. The Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal has ordered the confiscation of a quantity of waist-cloths having the borders inscribed with a seditious Bengali poem.
