Tuesday, March 8. .(Before Mr H. Y. Widowson, S.M.) Urunkcnnsss.—John Wcstj for drunkenness, was fined 10s, or in default 48 hours' imprisonment.—Henry William Fleet, for a similar offance, was convicted, and ordered to nay medical expenses, £13s 6d, or in default seven days' imprisonment with hard i labour. Prohibition.—Henry William Fleet was further charged with procuring liquor during tho currency of a. prohibition order. Accused was fined £10, or in default three mouths' imprisonment with hard labour,— A can) wherflin a woman applied for a prohibition order against her husband was dismissed. Mr Irwin appeared for applicant, and Mr'Callan for defendant. The Opium Act.—Richard Wong Ah Jack pleaded " N'ot guilty" to a charge of beingfount! in possession of opium, in a form suitablo for smoking, on March 7. The case was adjourned till March 10. Bail wa6 flowed in accused's own surety of £50, wilh one surety of £50, or two of £25 each. A Kemit.—An application by Christina Spencc Thomas to remit arrears under an industrial school order was granted, and an order was made remitting all arrears up '.o March 8.1910; instalments to be kept up regularly in future.
