!( BREACHES AT OAMARU. (Peb United Pkess Association.) OAMARU, March 8. Mr Hutcheson, S.M., gave, judgment this morning' in ■ several eases involving breaches of tho no-licensa laws, which occupied the attention of llio court the whole of tyesterday and this morning. William M'Gregor, carrier, was fined £5 and costs on a charge of receiving orders for liquor, and £1 without costs pn five other similar charges. A case against M'Gregor for forwarding an order for liquor to Speighl and Co., and not giving the name and address of tho person for whom it was intended, was dismissed. Two charges of.receiving orders were preferred against George Adamson, carter, who was fined £2 and costs in one case, whilst the other was dismissed. Speight and Co. were fined'£s and costs for sending liquor into a no-licenso district without supplying the necessay notice to the court. A caso against M'Gregdr for keeping liquor for sale' was dismissed. The cases were of an unusual nature, the magistrate agreeing that the defendants M'Gregor and Adamson had acted without any intention of committing '» breach.
