CLUTHA PRESBYTERY.
The Clutlia Presbytery met at Balclutha f>n Wednesday, when Micro were present—
. o Rev. Mr Dalryniplo (Moderator pro icm.), and Messrs >S. \V. Carrie, Fraser, Miller, Howes, Allan, Blair, On-, \V. T. Currie, Ponder, and Spenco (ministers), and Messrs M'Onv, M'HatUe, John Clark, CawIcy, Parker, and Jamas Claik (elders). The Jiov. Mr Williams and Messrs Young, Kussell, and Morton wroto stating their inability to attend.
Jt was agreed to apply for the Long Service Diploma for Miss Sutherland, of Milbum, as a Sunday school teacher for 27 years.
Mr Dalryniplo reported vc Glenomaru, and at his request Messrs W. W. Brown and James Clark were added to the committee to select a site for a cottage manse at Gleiwimirit. It was ajso agreed to appoint the Rev. S. W. Currie to dispense tho communion at Glenomaru at an early date.
The Presbytery proceeded to examine the congregational records for the past year. The records of session and of tho Deacons' Court, or Committee of Management, of Balclutha. Milburn, Lovell's I'lat, Lawrence, Waitahtma, Eaitangata, and Clinton, tho records of the Deacons' Court of Waropa and of the session of Pueriia wcro handed in and examined, and, .vith a few minor errors, found well and regularly kept, and as 6uch .signed by the Moderator.
Tho clerk laid on the table a letter from <hc Uev. Mr Kilpatrick, and it*was agreed that Wainori township bo handed over to the Duncdin Presbytery with the view of forming a new home mission station for tho whole district.
The Presbytery considered the Synod's scheme for the training of Sabbath school teachers, when it' was finally agreed that (he Presbytery disapproved of tho same as ii tho meantime impracticable.
