Al'i'arlone, jnn., rendered songs in a splendid manner. The, visitors' vote of thanks was ies]>onde<l to by Bro. Dunlop (KverK'eon), Bro. I{om (Star of Freedom), Bro. M'Millan (Hope of Dunwlin). In responding the visitors congratulated lite lodge on the splendid music rendered b.v the two brothers. They also heartily congratulated and thanked Bros, Gain, Scott, and K. Cameron on tho excellently-written and instructive essayj given, 'i'lie visitors considered that evening such as this one would tend to raise and maintain the order.

Tho usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hand and Heart, fiodge was held on Tuesday evening, X.G. Bro. J. T. Huberts presiding. After tho lodge was opened, the Jodgo adjourned for 10 minutes in respect and memory of the lato Uto. I'.P.G.M. Alexander Slij-o. The lodge room was draped in mourning. Letters were receiver from, members and secretaries of lodges on behalf of members expiring sympathy at the loss the lodgo and the order ha<l sustained in tho death of the late brother.
