LAST MONTH'S EXPORTS.

LARGE INCREASE. (Feb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, December 7. 'Die Commerce and Tourist Department, in the produce report leaflet issued to-day, report a most substantial increa.se in the quantities and values of exports for the month of November, when compared with November 1908. The values of the chief products exported were a.s follows (last year's figures being in parentheses):—Butler, £245,961 (£210.959); cheese, £111,984 (£83,218); beef, £23,689 (£8412); mutton, £43,237 (£45,441); mutljm legs, £4027 (£114); lamb, £17,803 (£2752); oats, £15,179 (£14,363); hemp, £35,318 '(£28,153); rabbits, £15,917 (£10,914); tow, £1921 (£2071); kauri gum. £30,960 (£32.179); grain and pulse, £6349. (£5214); 'hops, £2174 (£803); hides, £14,659 (£11,948); skins, £71,799 (£31.578); tallow. £18,076 (£16,043); timber. £36,181 (£34,897); wool, £224,426 (£141,612); gold, £150,622 (£180,502). _ The figures for 1909 aro taken from interim Customs returns, and are subject to correction. The grand total values for the past month were £1,070,462, or £208,921 more than for November, 1908. For Uio eight months ended November 30, 1908, the exports were valued at £7.561.677, and for the same period of 1909 £9,732,438, or an increase of £2,170,761.
