(Received Dec. 6. at 1.15 a.m.) Mr Pierpont Morgan has secured 'control of the Eouitable Life Assurance Society, New York, with four millions sterling as=ob. This is interpreted in Wall street as foreshadowing a gigantic merging of banking interests. Mr Pierpont Morgan recently purchased the (luartnty Trust, with capital resources ol 20 millions; sterling. Moderate American papers estimate the resources ho now controls at 350 millions sterling.
