Messrs Cadbury Bros., cocoa manufacturers, are suing the Standard for a libel published on the 28th September, 1908, when commenting on the Cadburys' delay in ceasing to'purchase their principal supply of cocoa from San 'Ihime, where slave labour is said to rale. Sir Edward Grey, mho was snbpamaod, stated m the ooursc of his evidenoo that Mr Cadbtrry had asked him to take steps to stop the scandal in 1906, bat that ho (Sir E. Grey) had advised liim 'not to agitate publicly until the Foreign Office had approached Portugal.
