AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. His Majesty's iheatre contained another large aucUenua last evening on tho occasion of the second appearance of Mr Hurry Riekards's Viiudcville Company. The perfonnancs served to confirm the excellent opinions formed of the combination on tho opening night, sjkl tlia" wholesale Show of appreciation tendered it was in every particular' fully merited. Anticipations of awing sometuing unique in Mademoiselle Kosini Caaselli's midget canines were perhaps even more than realised, and tho manner in whiuh these little Mexican dogs performed tricks with almost human-like intelligence and the perfection of training they displayed was something to marvel at. Undoubtedly one of the most delightfully artistic "turns" given here for many doira is that which is turnrished by Florence and Lillian, two young ladies whoso musical ability is beyond any suggestion of mediocrity. One of tho ladies is a violin player _ whoso high merit tho audience recognised, at once, and her oontribut.ion oil t'his instrument was a real treat; in fact overy instrument taken up by both ladies is admirably treated. Fred Graham and Nellie Dont are old favourites, and though thuy have been seen and head in funnier things, their present slcoroh presents a good deal of characteristic originality, owl affords an outlet for some cf their really humorous work. The Kremka Brothers, comedy and eccentric acrobat*, <io «>mo extraordinarily clever things,'and Walker a-M Sturm juggle with tennis racquets marvellously. The Doimellys and Little Kitty (song and dance artists), tho MarW Sisters (soro-comics), J. V. Gibson (patter ccmodian), Harry Rochfart (baritone), and Harry Hart (tenor) are tho other artists who contribute to a programme of allround excellence. The combination will

appear again this evening and for the remamdor of the week. The management announces a matinee for Saturday next with special prices for children. ' PRINCESS THEATRE. Monday is not exactly a popular calendar item with pleasure-seekers, but nevertheless fullers Pictures attracted a large numbor Of people to the Princess Theatre last night, when the various items in an excellent programme were received with enthusiasm. Tho programme has many moods, and takes the spectator to jagged mountain -summits, smiling pastoral valleys tropical cities, and French plays. It shows hnn desperate dramas and lackrymosa tragedies, and then tickles him with comedy .W makes him laug-h. Pullers' Pictures will again be on view to-night.

' CLEMENT L. WRAGGK. To-night arid to-morrow night at the Burns Hall Mr Wraggc yiil givo two farowell entertainments the first subject, " The Lternal Heavens," being said to be a paraeularlj- fine one. It should be noticed hut tins is absolutely lb© lust opportunity those interested in Mr Wragge and his work will have of hearing lu'm as private arrangements preclude tho '„osability of bis visiting- Dunedin again- for I'light of a Soul," which is Mr second subject, a contemporary siv.s- "He fascinates us with awe-inspiring d'eecriptions of the marvellous wonders of creation and the telling of them makes „ s think more deeply-of out responsibilities, and brings borne to us the fact that, compared will the- forces of Nature, W8 are only redeemed from utter insignificance by birth', right, of godlike similarity." .The box plan is open at the Dresden. .
