Fat lambs showed a marked rise in price, and tat sheep sold ai firmer rates. Store and dairy cattle sold well, and pigs were down scvciul shillings per head.

The entry of store sheep was somewhat larger thnu last week. Ewes and lambs formed a largo portion of the yarding, Ine balance being hoggets and medium to good weihevs. Competition was not no keen as of late, forv.-ard wethers being tin best demand, aud prices for those showed little or no change. Ewe.-; and lambs and hoggets i>:;ecpt ewo hoggets) were easier. especially inferior sorts, '.there wore several pens of shorn wethers olrered, find those in forward condition sold well. The entry of fat- sheep was not quite so largo as last week, but tho quality was generally good, and there wore several lines of shorn sheep and mwino wethers.. The sale opened .ai firmer rales, and prices remained steady llitougliout. 'The range of paces was: Prime wethers in the wool 19s to '3s, lighter 15s 7d to IBs lid, prime shorn welhers 13s Cd to 15s, lighter lis lOd to 13s woolly ewes 15s 7d to 18s 3d, woolly 14s to lJs 7d, merino wethers lis to°'l6s, others 10s Gd to 16s Gd.

The yarding of fat cattle totalled 277 hoed, or ID odd more than last week. There was a good proportion of prime quality, but Uie demand was not very active, and prices wore, tho whole, rather easier, except for prame s.eers.
