FRUITLESS CLAIM FOR DAMAGES. SYDNEY, September 8. (Received Sept. 8, at 8.50 p.m.) As a sequil to the case wherein Daley was acquittal;on a charge of attempting to extort money from W. N. Willis, Daley has sued Willis for alleged false imprisonment, claiming £2000 damages. The jury ritumed a verdict for the defendant.

(Received Sept. 8, at 11.40 p.m.) ■ A; Cutler, a member of a family of well-known rifle shots, using a B.S.A. aperture sighter, fired 25 shots, and scortd an inner and four bull's-eyes each at 500, 600, and 700, yards, the possible at 800 yards, and an inner, thrte bull's-eyes, and a magpie at 1000 yards.
