Koonya arrived yesterday mornlug trom the Mull', and sailed again at a la to hour at night for Oamaru and West Coast ports. Tho s.s. Corinna on her next trio south to Port Chalmers will go into dock. Sho leaves Wellington on Tuesday, and arrives at Port CliaJineis on Thursday, omitting her iiciml call at Timaru. The Government steamer Ilitiomoa is due at Dunedin on the 10th inst,. and saib hence- for the southern lighthouses. She leaves Iho lilutr for the West Coast early in September. The p.b. Devon, of the Fedciul-lloulder-Shiro line, from Liverpool to New Zealand, via Australia, had a rough passage from Capetown to Melbourne. On tins portion of tho trip her decks were almost continuously wot, as a result of tho st-ronjr northerly gales and rough seas in tho Southern Ocean. Sho brings 140 passengers, the majority of whom are for Now Zealand. Sho arrived at Auckland from Australia oil Wednesday night, and is due ■ at Dunedin in about a fortnight. Tho British India Company's steamer Uinta, 5422 tons, was to have left Calcutta on Sunday for Now Zealand ports. The Union Company's steamer Apariuia left (Calcutta on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, via Singapore; and SaniaranS'.,

Tlio Government steamer Hinomoa will reach Dunodin on August 10, on which date cargo for lighthouses and West Coast should he shipped. As the vessel will go to the southern islands before proceeding to the West Coast, sho will not leave Bluff for the Coast until early in September. The barque Durban, contrary to expectation, did not.como out of dock until yesterday afternoon. She will sail to-day' if the weather is favourable. Tli© as.
