PROPERTY AUCTION, ' / A block of land, comorising sections 1, 2. 3, 4. 9, 10. 11. block 1,11, St. Ivilda. fronting Logan, Cole, and Da Carle streets, was submitted io auction by Messrs Park, Reynolds, and Co. at their rooms yesterday. The first bid was for £200, but animated competition soon brought the price to £400, at which amount Mr l'atorson became the purchaser. The same linn oll'ered several small sections on Monday, and sold section 31, Carlton Extension, at a satisfactory price. A London message advises that stocks and shares are unchanged. Silver is quoted at 23U1 |>er ounce.
