KNOX CHURCH MEN'S GUILD.
The usual monthly meeting of tho Knox Church Men's Guild was held on Tuesday evening in the Stuart Hall. There was a largo attendance of men belonging ty tho congregation. Tho social element was much enjoyed, and a capital programme .was submitted by way of passing a pleasant evening. The Rev. Mr Davie.?, from Sydney, who is at present a candidate for the, vacancy of minister, gave a very entertaining 20 minutes in story-'toll ing. and was loudly applauded. ?.fr Raymond was exeeo'linelv enlcrlaining in his clever conjuring tricks, and fairly mystified his onlookers. M'fsrs ITa.rri-on and Gurr contributed songs which were highly a.iinreeiatcd. Mr Allan gave a rccitation which was attentively listened to. Mr Parker contributed a violin selection which was likewise much applauded. Mr 'W. Paget Gale officiated at the piano in his usual efficient manner. Mr Johnston Brown relurncd thank.? to those who lwd been the means of entertaining tho guild id a very happv evening; and also to the ladies for. providing supper. The singing of' " God. save tho King " r-onoluded the. evening's meeting. Mr D. Wallace presided.
