Heart disease is believed to have been the cause of death. Deceased was a married man. CHMSTCHURCH, July 19. Harold Melville Stevenson (24) was re ported missing after June 23. when he left, his home. lie had with him a double-barrelled gun and a bicycle. These were found oil the river bank a few days later. The morning his body was found iii the river. When the body was examined this morning a gunshot wound was fcrnd in the left temple. News was received in Queenstown on Saturday evening that a young man named Dan Harnett, a son of Mr George Barnctt. of Queenstown, was found drowned in a lagoon at Glenorchy. He was subject, to fits, and it is supposed that he had taken one and had fallen in where the body was found. There was only about 3ft of water in the lagoon. Some years ago deceased was a well-known jockey at the goldfields re.ee meetings, having steered his father's well-known racer Wild Wave to victory on many occasions.
