(Received July 20, at 1.10 a.m.) Tho Federal Government has accepted ths tender of the l'ratt-Whitney Company, an American firm, for £68,000 for the election of a small-arms factory. The work is to bo completed in 12 months. There were several English tenders, hut they were higher, and tho firms required from two to two and a-lialf years to complete the contract.
