Liaklioff, escorted by the Baklitira Mounted Riflemen, drove to the National Council amid the loud cheers of the populace. Several newspapers commend Russia lor adhering to the understanding with England and remaining neutral during the recent struggle. Liaklioff acted under the term? of the arrangement made by the two Legations. Though the telegraph office >vas re,peateilly struck by shells and bullets the staff remained at their posts.
