AMUSEMENTS

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE., A bright and varied programme of songs, dances, and clever comic sketches was again presented in His Majesty's Theatre last everting by Kickar'ds's Vaudeville Company. Oinquevalli's amazing jierformance in a great variety of -juggling and balancing feats was an extremely popular item, and the efforts of the other entertainers in the troupe were also received with unstinted applause. Tho season is now drawing to a, close, and the company appears for the Inst, time to-night. WIDE-WORLD PICTURES. ■ A varied programme, embracing scenes of humour, pathos, travel, magic, continues lo attract delighted audiences to the Princess Theatre. The marvels of the cinematograph are instanced in such a series as that entitled "Agriculture in the Argentine," which gives the stay-at-home New Zealander a very clear and faithful idea of country life in the great South American Republic. "Harry Lauder off to America," " Moorish Cavalry Manoeuvres," " Nick Cartel' Investigating a Jewel Robbery" are titles of pictures that indicate the nature of the entertainment submitted. A host of farcical pictures are included in the programme, and these, judiciously selected, never fail to exercise the risible faculties of the most staid and decorous visitor.
