To-day Christopher Isaac Denhv, slalionmastei- at Waikari, was arrested on a charge of having, 'whilst slalionmastei' at Lcesl'on. stolen a parcel consigned by Messrs Jiallantvne and Co. to Mrs (Or) Cook, of Lincoln, valued at £5 19s 9d. The. offence is alleged to have been committed between February 16 and March 16, .1907. TNVERCARGILL, March 5. At a meeting of the Southland A. and P. Association to-day it was resolved— " That in the interests of draught horse breeding it is desirable that a draught horse association of New Zealand be formed, and that this association do all iu its power to assist in such formation."
